Pinwheels for Prevention\u00ae<\/span> Campaign<\/strong><\/h3>\n

We all have a role to play in ensuring children have positive experiences and families have the resources they need.\u00a0 April is the national observation of Child Abuse Prevention Month (CAP Month) when we launch our Pinwheels for Prevention\u00ae<\/span> campaign.\u00a0 We ask you, your workplace, house of worship, school, or volunteer group to “plant” one or more pinwheel gardens. The pinwheel is joyful and evokes childlike notions, symbolizing our desire for all children to have happy and healthy childhoods.<\/p>\n

Wear Blue Day<\/b><\/h3>\n

Every April, on Wear Blue Day we kickoff the observation of Child Abuse Prevention Month by wearing blue to demonstrate our support for children\u2019s well-being.\u00a0 Simply take a photo of yourself, your family, your colleagues, your friends, your volunteer group \u2013 or even your puppy \u2013 wearing blue and tag PCA-NJ on social media with the message: I\u2019m wearing blue to support happy and healthy childhoods for all children. #WearBlueDay2026.\u00a0 Or\u00a0<\/span>email us<\/a><\/span><\/strong>\u00a0your photos by 4\/06 and we\u2019ll post for you and acknowledge your participation. The 2026 Wear Blue Day date is Friday, April 10.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

2026 Big Pinwheel Garden<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Every April, PCA-NJ joins our colleagues nationwide to observe Child Abuse Prevention Month via the Pinwheels for Prevention\u00ae campaign. There are many pinwheel gardens \u201cplanted\u201d by advocates and supporters throughout NJ\u2019s 21 counties. PCA-NJ also selects prominent locations each year to host a family-friendly Big Pinwheel Garden.\u00a0 In 2026, we invite you to join us as on Friday, April 17 at 10 am<\/strong> as we meet at the historic<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Shiloh Baptist Church in Trenton.\u00a0 We\u2019ll march to the New Jersey Statehouse with our allies at The New Jersey Children\u2019s Alliance and then return to Shiloh Baptist Church to \u201cplant\u201d pinwheels, forming our Big Pinwheel Garden.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
